Welcome to Bittersweet

Bittersweet is an exciting new breed of interactive educational tool for today’s young and inquisitive mind. We like to call this type of software social Edutainment. Bittersweet was developed with the aim of bridging important gaps in the social education of children into today's complex society.

This site has been tailored for you to experience the educational software called Bittersweet. Its prime purpose is for our partners and interested parties to see and sample the Bittersweet product/concept. Its primary role is to make it easy for them to view the product. There are no installations required all you have to do is choose one of the links. Further instructions are available on the this web site if needed. The download is better option as it is a self contained shockwave move which you just click on and it will open your web browser and off you go.

Why Bittersweet?

The Bittersweet team has discovered a gap in the education of children’s early social development skills. This gap covers several areas in which children are experiencing trouble relating to domestic

and social situations in their daily routine. We have identified this gap to consist of several interrelated elements, which include adverse behavioral patterns in all forms of communication and an overall lack of environmental awareness.

This affects children in the immediate “now” and in the future as they develop into young adults. Left unnoticed this problem has developed into one of the most serous situations faced by everyone in today’s society.

Bittersweet aims to address these issues at a grass roots level. It does this in a two-fold manner:

  • Breaking-down societal stereotypes such as sexism and racism and other adverse behavioral habits.

  • Enhancing a children’s awareness of their own environment (natural and social).

We like to call this active thinking as opposed to passive thinking. This helps the child in all areas of their daily routine.
